Local News in Brief : Ventura Freeway Closures
Motorists can look forward to briefer weekend westbound lane closures caused by the Ventura Freeway project.
Lanes will reopen at 7 a.m. today and 8 a.m. Sunday, Caltrans officials said. Previously they were opening about 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Two westbound lanes, between Corbin and Winnetka avenues, which closed at midnight Friday and a third that closed a 1 a.m., will reopen by 7 a.m. today, officials said.
Between Winnetka and Canoga avenues, one lane will be closed at 10 p.m. Saturday and a second and third lane will close at 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. respectively, officials said. No ramp closures were planned for either night.
