George F. Schweitzer, who last year quit his job as chief spokesman for the CBS Broadcast Group to work for the giant Young & Rubicam advertising agency, will return to CBS in three weeks, the company said Monday. Schweitzer is coming back as a senior vice president of the CBS Broadcast Group, in charge of advertising, promotion, press and public relations. He was hired back by the group’s new president, former CBS News President Howard Stringer. Schweitzer has been with CBS for 15 years in various capacities, including once producing “Captain Kangaroo.”
