Latino Service Group Gets New Locale, Director
The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, a major service organization for the Latino population in California, has appointed a new director and moved to new headquarters in the City of Commerce.
The new executive director is Margarita Morales Padilla, a bilingual education specialist who previously was academic coordinator for the Harmon Hall Language Institute in Mexico City. According to Dionicio Morales, president of the organization, the move from old quarters in Monterey Park to larger offices in Commerce was made for closer access to the Mexican American community in East Los Angeles.
