Do these guys want a TV movie deal or what ? The Elvis Patrol--a group of four suburban lads from the San Francisco Bay Area--plan to embark on a 10-day, 4,700-mile mission in search of . . . Elvis Presley. The King of rock ‘n’ roll has officially been dead since 1977, but that doesn’t daunt the patrollers. “I sincerely believe (Elvis) is alive,” said 19-year-old chief patrolman Jamie Wright, who believes that Elvis faked his death in “an incredible stunt.” The patrol’s jaunt is being subsidized: their Elvis Mobile was donated by a local truck dealer and its gas will picked up by Concord radio station KKIS-FM.
