San Diegan Chosen for Veterans Board

Frank M. Borrello of San Diego was appointed Thursday to the California Veterans Board, Gov. George Deukmejian’s office announced.

Borrello, a Democrat, was a technician for the Defense Department from 1967 until his retirement in 1984. He was a supervisor for the Pacific Ordnance and Electronics Co. of San Diego from 1965 until 1967 and served in the Navy from 1943 until 1965.

Borrello, 61, is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Fleet Reserve Assn., the Tin Can Sailor’s Assn. and the American Legion.

If he is confirmed by the state Senate, Borrello’s term will expire Jan. 15, 1992.
