Local News in Brief : ‘Rolex’ Suspect Arrested
A man whom police believe committed dozens of robberies of expensive watches and jewelry and who was nicknamed the “Rolex robber” has been arrested in West Los Angeles, authorities said.
Earl Albert Ford, 27, had been sought in connection with holdups that allegedly netted him more than $300,000 in West Los Angeles and Beverly Hills over the last year.
Police said the robber typically waited near exclusive shopping centers and followed customers into secluded areas, where he held them up at gunpoint.
Ford is being held at Los Angeles County Jail.
