A.J. Foyt was released from a Houston hospital after tests determined that he was suffering from a bruised kidney. The announcement was made at Michigan International Speedway, where Foyt, 53, had been scheduled to drive in today’s Marlboro 500, before he was hospitalized Thursday with stomach pains.
