Arsenio Hall will be back on late-night TV--but this time it’s with his own show. Paramount TV executive Lucille Salhany announced Tuesday that Hall’s first-run, syndicated late-night show is scheduled for a January, 1989, unveiling in 23 American TV markets, including Los Angeles, where Hall’s show will be seen on KCOP-TV Channel 13. The show, which Hall said might feature guests from the sports and pop music world, will be seen five nights a week. The time has not yet been nailed down, however. “Every night’s gonna be a party,” said the irrepressible Hall, who’s also negotiating a movie deal with Paramount.
