Local News in Brief : Memorial Fund for Boy
- Share via
A memorial fund has been established for Carlos Adame, the 7-year-old Azusa boy whose body was discovered Tuesday in a plant nursery a block from his home. He disappeared Monday evening.
An autopsy Wednesday found that the boy died of “traumatic injuries” inflicted during a “homicide assault,” coroner’s spokesman Bob Dambacher said.
“With the assistance of the public and donations we will hopefully have enough to cover all expenses incurred by the family as well as set up a reward fund for the apprehension of the suspect, or suspects,” said Tony Naranjo, an Azusa city councilman who operates a Pomona child-locating service, Missing Children International.
Donations should be sent care of the “Carlos Adame Memorial Fund” to Azusa City Hall, 213 E. Foothill Blvd., Azusa, Calif. 91702.
