Henley Group announced a second-quarter loss of $57 million on revenue of $640 million, compared with a loss of $37 million on revenue of $913 million over the same three months last year.

Henley attributed the drop in revenue for the recently ended quarter compared with last year’s to the sale of its M. W. Kellogg Co. unit in January.

For the six months ended June 30, Henley’s net income stood at $46 million on revenue of $1.3 billion, compared with a net loss of $120 million on revenue of $1.8 million over the same two quarters last year.

This year’s six-month loss includes a $165-million gain from the sale of Kellogg. Last year’s six-month loss includes a $65-million expense in connection with the company’s loan support agreement with Allied-Signal.
