Hebert Helps Saints Win, 33-28, at Phoenix

TEMPE, Ariz. — Bobby Hebert threw two touchdown passes to rookie wide receiver Brett Perriman in a 17-point second quarter, and the New Orleans Saints held on to beat the Phoenix Cardinals, 33-28, in an exhibition game Friday night.
The game, which started in 100-degree heat, drew a crowd of 51,987 at 72,000-seat Sun Devil Stadium.
Hebert, who played only the first half, finished with 11 completions in 21 attempts for 180 yards with 1 interception.
Phoenix’s Neil Lomax completed 8 of 16 passes for 110 yards.
Phoenix narrowed the gap to 24-21 on Cliff Stoudt’s 15-yard swing pass to Ricky Moore 3:27 into the fourth quarter.
