Soviets on Peace Cruise Invited to Greet Reagan

NEW ORLEANS —
Several Soviet citizens who floated down the Mississippi River on a cruise for peace were invited to help Republicans welcome President Reagan to the GOP convention Sunday.
Forty-eight Soviets and 125 Americans rode the Delta Queen paddle-wheeler from St. Louis to New Orleans on a nine-day Mississippi Peace Cruise. The Republican Party gave the group tickets for 15 of the Soviet participants to attend a rally for Reagan at the Superdome.
