Garvey Schools : New Superintendent Picked

Share

Roger Temple, former deputy superintendent of personnel for the Garvey School District, has been appointed superintendent, replacing Andrew J. Viscovich, who resigned last spring in a dispute with several school board members.

Temple, 51, has worked in a number of administrative positions during his 22 years with the district, which serves 7,400 pupils from kindergarten through the eighth grade in the communities of Rosemead, Monterey Park and San Gabriel.

Robert Diaz, former Garvey Intermediate School principal, has been appointed by the school board to take over Temple’s job as director of personnel.
