Local News in Brief : Santa Ana : Police Identify Victim of Fatal Shooting at Bar

A man who died Tuesday from gunshot wounds he received in a bar fight has been identified as Venturo Rodriguez, 30, of Santa Ana, police said.
Police on Wednesday were still seeking the man who shot Rodriguez after an argument about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at Maggie’s Bar in the 2100 block of South Bristol Street.
Rodriguez was struck over the head with a beer bottle and then shot several times with a small-caliber handgun, police spokeswoman Maureen Thomas said. Police said they do not know what the argument was about.
The victim, who suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, stomach and shoulder, died about 8 a.m. Tuesday at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital & Medical Center.
