All charges in the Lionel and Brenda Richie battery case have been dropped, county prosecutors said Wednesday. According to a spokesman in the district attorney’s office, the decision not to file charges was announced at the conclusion of an “administrative hearing” on the case. Brenda Richie was arrested on June 29 after a a noisy altercation involving her husband and Diane Alexander at the single woman’s Beverly Hills apartment. Lionel Richie, who earlier had been kicked by his wife when she arrived on the scene, left the apartment before officers arrived.
