Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : Police Seize Dope, $100,000; Arrest Man
Police confiscated 2 pounds of cocaine, 10 pounds of marijuana and $100,000 in cash after serving a search warrant on a home in southeast Huntington Beach, authorities said Friday.
Pedro Luis Bengochea, 31, was arrested at the house in the 19000 block of Fiji Lane about 7:45 p.m. on suspicion of sales and possession of cocaine and marijuana, Police Sgt. Mike Relic said.
Police obtained the search warrant after an investigation aided by information from neighbors, Relic said.
Bengochea, a barber, was being held on $500,000 bail in the city’s jail facility.
