Athletes in Colleges Should Play by the Rules

Share

The NCAA was rebuffed unjustly by a Superior Court judge who ruled that drug testing violated an individual’s privacy.

Privacy has nothing to do with the rules and regulations set down by the NCAA or any other organization.

I think that Wilford Bailey of the NCAA said it best when he stated: “The right to engage in NCAA competition is not a right guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, it’s a privilege. And if any individual wishes to compete in NCAA events, the individual must be prepared to comply with the rules established by the membership.”

An individual or team joins an organization knowing the rules, and they should abide by them or not join.
