41 Arrested for Allegedly Soliciting Sex
Forty-one men were arrested along a stretch of Harbor Boulevard when they solicited sex from female police officers disguised as prostitutes, Garden Grove police said Saturday.
In addition, 39 cars belonging to the men were towed, said Sgt. Larry Ebelt. Police said the cars were towed because parking isn’t allowed on Harbor Boulevard and because the police could not be responsible for the security of the cars.
The arrests were made from 9 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday, when the police conducted a “prostitution program” using female officers as decoys, Ebelt said.
The program has “received a lot of support from area residents,” Ebelt said.
