Passem Dirty Wins Los Alamitos Sophomore Handicap
Passem Dirty rolled to a half-length victory over heavily favored Shawnes Favorite Friday night in the Sophomore Handicap at Los Alamitos Race Course.
Passem Dirty, ridden by Danny Cardoza, led every step of the 400-yard dash, finishing in 19.75. Back To Cash finished third in the race, which was for 10-year olds.
Trained by H. L. Hooper, Passem Dirty was recording her second stakes victory this summer, having earlier won the Vandy’s Flash Handicap. It was Passem Dirty’s fifth victory in 12 starts this year.
Passem Dirty paid $12.60, $3.60 and $2.60. Shawnes Favorite, the 4-5 favorite, paid $2.80 and $2.40, and Back To Cash returned $3.
In capturing first prize of $16,350, Passem Dirty increased her lifetime earnings to $96,866.
