Owner of Cafe Held in Shooting
The owner of the Ocean Beach Cafe was being held Saturday on suspicion of shooting a patron during a dispute, police said.
Donald Norris, 58, of San Diego, was being held at the county jail downtown in lieu of $10,000 bail in connection with the assaulting of a patron with a deadly weapon, police said.
Norris is suspected of shooting Jerry Golding during a dispute at the restaurant at 8:16 a.m. Saturday. A bullet passed through Golding’s wrist and entered his thigh, police said.
Golding was in fair condition at UC San Diego Medical Center, said a hospital spokeswoman.
