Meanwhile, in Rome, Robert Cavallo--one of the management team behind the purple legend that is Prince--announced Monday that Prince’s Sept. 9 show in Dortmund, West Germany, will be televised live throughout Europe, possibly including the Soviet Union. The Italian state TV network RAI and the British independent Granada network are the forces behind the Prince uplink, Cavallo said. The contract price was announced as $1.4 million. The beaming will not be made available in North America, Japan or Australia, Cavallo said, because Prince will be hitting those countries later on the tour.
