Orange County’s seventh heart transplant recipient was reported in critical but stable condition Monday at UCI Medical Center, where his identity remained undisclosed at the request of his family.

The donor whose heart was harvested for the transplant Sunday after he was shot in the head Friday night in Placentia also remained unidentified Monday.

Placentia police said they had not been able to reach any friends or family members of the donor, who appeared to be a Latino, about 25 years of age.
