Irving Fryar, a New England Patriots wide receiver, was cited by police for speeding and driving with a suspended license, authorities said.
Fryar was ticketed by police in West Bridgewater, Mass., for driving 55 m.p.h. in a 45 m.p.h. zone shortly before 2 a.m.
Fryar’s license was suspended in April, 1987, for his failure to pay a $20 traffic citation.
Fryar has been the subject of domestic, traffic and weapons incidents the last three years. Last winter the former all-pro receiver and punt returner said he was robbed and shot at in downtown Boston. No charges were filed.
