Home runs by Tino Martinez and Ty Griffin paced the United States to an 11-1 victory over Italy, setting up a showdown with Cuba in the World Baseball Championships at Milan, Italy.
Cuba, the defending champion, defeated the Netherlands, 15-5, and will face the United States today. Both teams have 10-0 records and have clinched the top positions going into Tuesday’s semifinals of the 12-team tournament.
