If you think lines at the bank seem longer, perhaps it isn’t your imagination. In June, county residents borrowed $1.3 billion to finance home purchases. While that is about $300 million more than was borrowed for the same purpose in San Diego County and more than Riverside and San Bernardino counties combined, it was less than half the amount for Los Angeles County.
