Tailback Eric Metcalf of Texas is ineligible to play tonight against BYU, Longhorn Coach David McWilliams said.
The National Collegiate Athletic Assn.’s eligibility committee denied Metcalf’s appeal of a one-game suspension for accepting money from the university for a summer-school session he never attended.
Metcalf repaid the money.
