At the 24-hour cable channel Telemundo, the U.S.-produced, Spanish-language program beat goes on with “Angelica, Mi Vida” (Angelica, My Life), the first Latin soap to focus on U.S. Latinos. Network officials announced Thursday that the one-hour, weekday show will debut with a two-hour special at 8 p.m. Monday on its five owner-operated stations, including KVEA-TV Channel 52 in Los Angeles, and 12 affiliates nationwide. Cuban-born Laura Fabian plays Angelica, a beautiful ingenue struggling overcome old family indiscretions. “The novela is yet another of the key elements in Telemundo’s on-going strategy to bring top-quality original programming to our viewers,” said Carlos Barba, network senior vice president of programming.
