Dabney Coleman of the late “ ‘Slap’ Maxwell Story” and Jane Curtin of “Kate & Allie” are teamed as husband and wife in “Sooner or Later,” a TV movie for NBC. They play characters who are quite content until the wife decides she wants to have a child. The husband balks because he’s already got a grown daughter (played by Julia Duffy of “Newhart”).

Date rape is the subject of the “ABC Afterschool Special” Thursday. And guess what? It’s also being dealt with in a “CBS Schoolbreak Special” that will air Oct. 18. “No Means No” will star Dana Barron as the victimized teen-ager, Chad Lowe as her brother and Bonnie Bedelia as her mother.

Ken Olin and Patricia Wettig, whose characters are only friends on “thirtysomething,” will have an opportunity to play the married couple they are in real life on an episode of “Police Story” that’s being remade for ABC. Olin plays a policeman whose marriage and career suffer following the death of his partner.
