Local News in Brief : Mission Viejo : Police Say Stabbing Followed Money Dispute
An El Toro man was in serious condition Tuesday after he was stabbed during an argument over money, police said.
Robert Deming, 40, went to Lawrence Geoffrey Dunagan’s house in the 25000 block of Marguerite Parkway about 7:45 p.m. Monday because he owed Dunagan money, said Lt. Richard J. Olson, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
During the fight that ensued, Dunagan, 44, stabbed Deming in the chest with a knife, Olson said.
Deming was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, where he was operated on and remained in intensive care Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
