A 20-year-old man was critically injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist while riding his bicycle, authorities said Wednesday.
Jose Lisandro Osegueda was riding his bike on Placentia Avenue just north of Scott Place about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck, according to Lt. Dennis Cost.
Osegueda suffered massive head and chest injuries and was taken to Fountain Valley Hospital and Regional Medical Center, where he remained on life support systems in “extremely critical condition” Wednesday, hospital spokeswoman Sheila Holliday said.
Police have no suspects, but an investigation is continuing, Cost said.
