As a pilot of 43 years experience I applaud your report on air shows.
That air shows promote aviation is specious.
The crowd goes to hope for blood and guts.
Do bullfights promote animal husbandry? Of course not!
Do air shows promote recruitment efforts? Just ask pilots instead of promoters. They don’t!
