The Home Bases of State Senator William Campbell

Share

In many news articles on state Sen. William Campbell and the mysterious manner in which his 1987 government-funded, “nonprofit” Conference on Women paid $165,000 to his wife and aide, he is persistently referred to as “Campbell (R-El Toro).” Please be informed that Campbell is not from El Toro.

Campbell, who has the second-worst attendance record in the state Senate, makes his residence in Hacienda Heights, in Los Angeles County.

Campbell’s bad attendance record actually makes women very happy, because when he does wander in to vote, he consistently votes against women’s issues. He has voted:

* Against raising the minimum wage.

* Against a commission on pay equity.

* Against school-based health clinics.

* Against warning pregnant women of the dangers of birth defects associated with alcohol use.

Campbell has located his campaign headquarters in the City of Industry, a 6.5-acre city with 310 residents and the indebtedness of Oakland. Please note that this is also in Los Angeles County.

We have enough problems in El Toro without being held responsible for furnishing the Senate with William Campbell.
