The National Endowment for the Arts has awarded $40,000 to help restore the public areas of Los Angeles City Hall.

The grant, made to the nonprofit Project Restore, will be used for preserving marble and plaster work, cast-bronze doors, light fixtures and decorative stenciling. The architectural firm of Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates designed the project’s master plan.
