Rupert Murdoch’s $3-billion acquisition of Triangle Publications Inc. has come a step closer to reality. Murdoch, through his News American Holdings Inc., said he signed a definitive merger agreement with Walter H. Annenberg, chairman of Triangle, which publishes TV Guide, the Daily Racing Form, Seventeen and Good Food magazines.
