Culver City : Bus Service Changes

The Culver City Municipal Bus Line has expanded its service on Route 6 along Sepulveda Boulevard, from Los Angeles International Airport Transit Center to UCLA, to include hourly runs on Saturday.

The additional day is being offered on a trial basis for a year to determine whether passenger demand justifies Saturday service, said Dave Ashcraft, city transportation director. At the end of the year, the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission will determine whether Saturday service will continue and whether service will be expanded to include Sundays and holidays.

During the week, runs on Route 6 have been increased to every 20 minutes between 6 and 9 a.m. and 2 and 7 p.m. Buses operate every half-hour between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and hourly after 8 p.m.

Ashcraft also announced changes in three other routes:

Route 1, which travels Washington Boulevard between Venice Circle and Fairfax Boulevard, will reduce runs from every 15 minutes to every 20 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Route 2, which begins at Fox Hills Mall and previously ended at Washington and Inglewood boulevards, will now continue to Washington and Lincoln boulevards and around to Venice High School. The hourly trips will no longer serve the Corporate Pointe project at Slauson Avenue and Buckingham Parkway.

Route 3, which runs between the Westside Pavilion Mall and Fox Hills Mall, primarily along Overland Avenue, will now stop at the Corporate Pointe location. Route 3 has runs every 20 minutes.
