National League umpire Dave Pallone met with investigators in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., to discuss his alleged involvement in a sex ring involving teen-age boys, his attorney said.
No charges have been filed against Pallone, attorney E. Stewart Jones Jr. said.
Pallone took a voluntary leave of absence from his umpiring duties last week and worked his last game Sept. 15 in Philadelphia. The Associated Press reported that Pallone had been told by the league that he would be fired at the end of the season if he did not resign immediately.
“There is no truth to the allegations,” Jones said.
