Local news in Brief : Woman Found Dead in Ransacked Home

An elderly woman was found slain Friday in her ransacked east Compton home, authorities said.
The body of Anna Lovan, 67, was found by her daughter at 2:15 p.m. in the elderly woman’s home, Deputy Eric Smith said.
Lovan’s house had been ransacked and her 1984 Mercedes-Benz was missing, leading detectives to believe she was the victim of robbers, Smith said.
It was not immediately known how the woman died. Homicide detectives were investigating.
