Luc Robitaille stole a clearing pass and scored an unassisted goal, then set up Paul Fenton for the tying goal in a 3-3 tie with the Winnipeg Jets in an exhibition game here Sunday night.

Ron Duguay scored the first goal for the Kings, who have yet to win an exhibition. They are now 0-2-2. They played here without four regulars, including Wayne Gretzky and Dave Taylor, who went to Ontario along with Mike Krushelnyski for the funeral of Marty McSorley’s mother. A team spokesman said the players are expected back for the Kings’ next exhibition Tuesday night in San Diego.

Stu Kulak scored twice and Hannu Jarvenpaa once for Winnipeg, now 3-2-2, while Alfie Turcotte added two assists. Roland Melanson and Doug Keans split the goaltending for the Kings, with Melanson allowing one goal and Keans two.

The Kings plan to cut their roster to around 25 players today. Also expected this week is a decision in Paul Fenton’s arbitration hearing.

The Kings will play their first exhibition game at the Forum Wednesday night against the Jets, who also will oppose them in San Diego.
