Arts and entertainment reports from The Times, national and international news services and the nation's press

Two errors wound up in the weekly movie box-office chart in Tuesday’s Morning Report. Tri-Star’s “Sweet Heart’s Dance” was incorrectly reported to have had the weekend’s highest per-screen average gross. “Dance” actually had the highest average only among films in wide release that grossed more than $1 million. Universal’s “Gorillas in the Mist,” opening at 15 theaters nationally, took in $366,925, a top-ranking per-screen average of $24,462. Several other limited releases also exceeded the “Dance” average. . . . Twentieth Century Fox’s reported grosses for its film “Die Hard” were for a five-day weekend (Wednesday through Sunday), not the three-day weekend (Friday through Sunday) used for all other films. “Die Hard’s” three-day figures: $2.1 million at 1,282 theaters.
