Business Park to Be Built Near Detention Center
A $150-million business park will be developed on a 195-acre county-owned portion of the Wayside Honor Rancho detention center in Castaic, at Interstate 5 and Backer Road.
The project, to be known as the Golden State Business Park, will be developed by a joint venture of Josephson Properties, Los Angeles, and Katell Properties Inc., Los Angeles, over a 7-to-10-year period. Construction is expected to begin next June, with completion of the first phase set for December, 1989.
When completed, the project’s buildings will contain about 2.6 million square feet.
