The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fight involving four off-duty Orange County sheriff’s deputies and several employees of the Whiskey A Go Go on the Sunset Strip. Detective Rod Shanks of the West Hollywood station said no one has been arrested, pending his interviews with the nine “victim-suspects” and witnesses. “I don’t know (yet) who’s the bad guy and who’s the good guy,” Shanks said. Whiskey manager Louie Maglieri, who lost a tooth in the scuffle Sunday night, charged that the four deputies had been drinking before they arrived and severely beat one doorman without provocation. They also injured several other employees who came the the doorman’s defense, Maglieri said. Shanks said it appeared that the off-duty officers were not hurt. Orange County’s sheriff’s officials said the department is also investigation the incident.
