Brad Parks Advances to Wheelchair Final
Brad Parks of San Clemente advanced to today’s final in the open division of the United States Wheelchair Tennis Championships with a 6-4, 6-2 victory Saturday over Chip Parmelly of Diamond Bar.
Parks, the three-time tournament champion and top-seeded player, will face Randy Snow of Birmingham, Ala., in the final at 12:30 p.m. at the Irvine Racquet Club. Snow defeated Laurent Giammartini of France, 6-2, 6-7, 6-3, in the other semifinal.
Monique Van Den Bosch of Holland defeated Chantal Vandierendonck of Holland in the women’s open final, 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.
