‘Poverty Is Daily Disaster’
Ullman’s message is that so little goes such a long way. It’s only 10 cents a packet for dehydration salts--the lack of which is currently killing 4 million children each year around the world; $5 can provide a child with a full set of vaccinations--without them, another 3 million children will die this year. A $50 loan to a poor villager with ideas for self-employment can empower him towards a lifetime of independence. So little can go so far.
