Textron Inc.’s third-quarter income was up 9% from a year ago to $62.8 million. Revenue remained steady at $1.7 billion. The Providence, R.I.-based company said a seven-week strike at its Lycoming turbine engine division, settled in July, adversely affected results in both the second and third quarters. Textron is a multi-industry company with operations in aerospace technology, commercial products and financial services.
