The executive committee of the Channel Swimming Assn., meeting in Folkstone, England, postponed any action on the death of Brazilian channel swimmer Renata Agondi until after legal proceedings in France have been concluded.
Agondi, 20, died on Aug. 23, 8 miles off the French coast while trying to swim the 21-mile channel from England to France. Her coach, Judith Russo of Brazil, has been charged with failing to assist a person in danger.
