No Chemical Weapons Plant, Kadafi Insists
Libya has denied accusations by the United States that it had built a chemical weapons factory and is about to start full-scale production of nerve gas and other toxins.
“The American talk of this pharmaceutical plant will not scare us but will increase our determination. We will defend this plant against any aggression,” the Libyan news agency JANA on Thursday quoted leader Moammar Kadafi as saying.
The United States said in September that it believed Libya had built a chemical weapons plant and it was about to start production.
