Beverly Hills : Recommendation Passes
The City Council adopted a recommendation by Mayor Robert Tanenbaum that a resident be appointed to fill an opening on the city’s 5-member Environmental Review Board.
In the past, members of the influential panel have come from various city departments involved in planning issues. But some residents have argued that a citizen is needed on the board to ensure that residents’ interests are adequately represented.
The board reviews most commercial and most multifamily dwellings for potential environmental impacts.
The council put off until a later date a decision on how and when the resident would be selected.
