‘Night’ Shift

When “About Last Night” airs Wednesday from 8 to 10 p.m. on KTLA, Channel 5 (again on Nov. 13, same time), you won’t see the theatrical version that featured so much profanity, male and female nudity and steamy, steamy sex.
Yes, Rob Lowe, Demi Moore and Jim Belushi are all still in the film. But Tri-Star Pics, the original distributor, provided syndicator Columbia Pictures TV with an “airline version” sanitized with inoffensive “coverage” shots and vocal looping, according to Columbia veep Leslie Tobin.
“It’s definitely a different look at ‘About Last Night,’ ” acknowledged Tobin. “The sexual, hard edge is gone. This is a softer, much more romantic movie.”
