The mother of an 11-year-old boy who was apparently strangled in the family home was arrested on suspicion of murder after she tried to hang herself, Marin County sheriff’s deputies said. Nadine Fuller, 28, of Mill Valley was jailed after deputies found the body of her son, Nicholas Maher, in the home. The boy had apparently been strangled but cause of death awaited the results of an autopsy. Evidence indicated that Fuller tried to commit suicide in the home by hanging herself, Detective Timothy Little said. Fuller later went to the home of a friend and said she had killed her son and had tried to kill herself, investigators said. Deputies said they had not determined a motive.
