1,000 Expected for Ojai Studio Tour

Nearly 1,000 visitors are expected to peek into the studios of 21 Ojai artists known for their achievements in painting, sculpture, weaving and pottery.

The annual Ojai Artists Studio Tour, which started as a benefit for the Ojai Arts Center, is on its way to becoming part of the city’s tradition. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with a special champagne reception at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Spectators will gather at the Ojai Valley Inn and Country Club, where the works of five artists will be presented. The $12.50 ticket provides each visitor with a booklet of artist profiles, a map to the artists’ homes and a “passport” for entry into their studios.
